Justice Suleiman Belgore of the Abuja High Court today dismissed the corruption charges brought against former speaker of the House of Representatives and his deputy.   The judge ruled that Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had not brought a solid case against the duo and ruled that they have no case to answer.

The controversial ruling has set free the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole and his deputy, Usman Bayero Nafada of complicity in the N40 billion loan scam.

Hafsat Abiola-Costello Says Al-Mustapha Death Sentence Ruling Is "Long Overdue"

Mrs. Hafsat Abiola-Costello, daughter of the deceased Alh. Kudirat Abiola, has responded to the death sentence ruling handed down to Major Hamza Al-Mustapha who was accused of ordering her death.

She described the sentence as a judgement for Nigerians and said it was long overdue. she said there had been "no doubt" of Al-Mustapha's involvment in her mother's killing, adding that it brings some closure to the family still grieving the loss.

Hafsat Abiola admits the 12-year-long case is said to be the longest in the nation's history.

Nigerian Producer Dickson Iroegbu set to release gay movie

Dickson Iroegbu, a Nollywood producer is getting ready to release his latest movie called - 'Law 58', a movie about homosexuality in Nigeria and its consequences. The movie features Kanayo O Kanayo, Clarion Chukwurah, Halima Abubakar etc and will be released next month.

When asked why a movie about homosexuality, the producer replied:  When I saw the National Assembly debate on Gay Marriage, I thought it was prophetic because at the time, I produced the movie, we hadn’t engaged ourselves constructively on how to address the issue of gay. Adrienne, a 25yr old lady who suffered from an aging disease has died

Tributes have been paid at the funeral of an 'inspirational' woman who died after suffering an extremely rare genetic condition that caused premature ageing.

Adrienne Greenway, 25, from Dover, passed away earlier this month from pneumonia, with her funeral taking place earlier this week. 

Adrienne suffered from what doctors thought was a premature ageing disease. Sufferers rarely outlive their teens.

Adrienne planned her own funeral, which was held as a celebration of her life.
