Boko Haram Posts Video of Kidnapped French Family on YouTube

The video shows an armed man reading a statement in front of two men, a woman and four children, saying the family has been taken hostage by Nigeria's Islamic militant group Boko Haram. The three minutes, 26 seconds video, posted on YouTube on Monday, shows the seven members of the Moulin Fournier family, kidnapped on February 19.The spokesperson confirmed they belong to the Jama’a Ahl al-Sunnah lil Da’wa wal Jihad, better known as Boko Haram.

He accused France of waging war on Islam, and said the condition for releasing their hostages was for the Nigerian government to release all female jihadists imprisoned, while the Cameroonian government releases their male counterparts.“Finally, I say to you, fulfill all of these things, and if you leave one thing from them we will slaughter those we took, we will slaughter those we took,” the spokesperson threatened at the end of the video.

Iranian News agency digitally alters Michelle Obama's Oscars gown to make it look more modest

An Iranian news agency digitally altered an image of Michelle Obama announcing the Oscar for Best Picture last night, in order to make her dress appear more modest  in keeping with the country's Islamic dress codes that require women not to expose too much skin. The State-controlled Fars News Agency added a high neckline and cap sleeves to the silver Naeem Khan gown worn by the U.S. First Lady.

Dramatic CCTV images emerged yesterday of a smiling Reeva Steenkamp arriving at the home of Oscar Pistorius, just hours before she was shot dead by the Paralympian on Valentine's Day. The video stills appear to show the 29-year-old model looking happy as she pulled up at the star's home in Pretoria. Despite her smiles, her ex-flatmate revealed that she felt so 'caged in' by an 'impatient and moody'.  Pistorius in the early days of their relationship that he was forced to tell the athlete to 'back off'.

Miss Steenkamp is seen grinning as security guards let her drive her Mini Cooper into the Silver Woods estate on the outskirts of Pretoria just before 6pm. Ten minutes later, Paralympic champion Pistorius is also shown arriving in his white BMW. He uses a lane that is further away from the CCTV camera and it does not capture his facial expression. The athlete claims that during the night he heard a noise in the bathroom and feared it was an intruder.

At about 3pm yesterday, a Nigerian guy who schools in Houdegbe North American University Benin Republic(HNAUB) was arrested, due to his action of turning a fellow female student to a snake using supernatural powers.

The guys are said to be 100 Level Business Administration Students of the above named University, to cut the explanation short, they're freshers who wanted to make quick money,they wanted to drive exotic cars and oppress their fellow students who happened to struggle hard to complete their education. This culprit travelled down to Port-Novo for the rituals. Pictures of two girls were found in the box which contained the snake. The Snake in the box is actually one of the girls that was used,while the second girl's head had already been chopped off. 

It was a girl that stays in the same compound with them that noticed their strange movements and she therefore reported them to the police. Some of their girlfriends have actually been declared missing for some days now but no one ever imagined that they could have been used for money rituals until the moment they were arrested. People thought the girls had done their "crayfish waka" as usual, not knowing that the girls have been used for rituals.

Exactly one week after Goldie died, a candlelight ceremony was held in her memory by her close friends and associates yesterday, Thursday 21st, February, 2013.  Goldie passed away on valentine day, shortly after she returned from the US where she attended the Grammy Awards on Sunday. She died at Reddington Hospital, in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Eko Atlantic City is a planned district of Lagos that is being constructed on land reclaimed from the Atlantic Ocean. Upon completion, the new island which is still under development is anticipating 400,000 residents and a daily flow of 250,000 commuters. The development will also have a positive environmental impact as its main purpose is to stop the erosion of the Lagos coastline.
